No, The Fabulous Four is not a biopic on The Beatles (we’ll have to wait for Sam Mendes’ separate biopics on each of the Fab Four). Rather, The Fabulous Four is a wonderful film with a fab matrimonial theme.

Think ‘Muriel’s Wedding’ and ‘The Dressmaker’, because the producer of those two great movies is the woman behind this new gem: Australian director, Jocelyn Moorhouse.

The film features an all-star cast of Megan Mullally, Bette Midler, Susan Sarandon, and Sheryl Lee Ralph and sees three lifelong friends travelling to Florida, USA to be bridesmaids in a surprise wedding of their college girlfriend. Once there, sisterhoods are rekindled, the past rises up again in all its glory, and there are enough sparks, drinks and romance to change all their lives in ways they never expected.

The Fabulous Four is in cinemas nationally through Transmission Films from August 1, 2024. See the trailer, below.
