THE NEW. RETRO. MODERN.

New spin-off of RuPaul’s Drag Race: Global All Stars to premiere August 16

As if RuPaul didn’t have enough spin-off shows on his plate, now we’re being introduced to RuPaul’s Drag Race Global All Stars, which will premiere on August 16 on Stan.

Representing the Pacific will be RuPaul’s Drag Race Down Under Season 2 runner-up Kween Kong who recently won herself a Logie award.

Kween will join a stellar line-up of the world’s best drag queens including Alyssa Edwards (USA), Athena Likis (Belgium), Eva Le Queen (Philippines), Gala Varo (Mexico), Kitty Scott-Claws (UK), Miranda Lebrao (Brazil), Nehellenia (Italy), Pythia (Canada), Soa de Muse (France), Tessa Testicle (Germany) and Vanity Vain (Sweden).

One thing looks certain, this series is going to have a more multicultural flavour to it than other Drag Race spin-offs such as ‘UK vs The World’.

The new series also has a timely ‘Olympics of Drag’ theme – a nod to how Drag Race is often referred to in the LGBTQIA community due to the intense challenges, preparation, skill and physicality required to take part.

RuPaul’s Drag Race Global All Stars is being produced by World of Wonder Productions with Fenton Bailey, Randy Barbato, Tom Campbell, Steve Kelly, Andrés Barragán, and RuPaul Charles serving as executive producers.

This is going to be big!
