Be a part of the margarita-making, record-breaking madness at Motel Mexicola in Bali

A trip to Bali is not complete unless you’ve popped into Motel Mexicola. Wait, make that two Motel Mexicolas – the original in Seminyak and the newer venue that has opened in Canggu. And for the full Mexican experience, you’ve got to make one of those cocktails a delicious margarita.

This September, Motel Mexicola in Seminyak is calling party starters and good-time lovers to join them as they attempt to make cocktail history.

On Sunday, September 15 – which is Mexican Independence Day – Motel Mexicola is taking a shot at the title for the most margaritas sold in eight hours, hoping to make it into the Guinness World Records.

The evening, christened Viva Margarita, begins at 4pm and will continue till late, and in the spirit of celebration, your favourite margaritas will all be just 75,000 rupiah (around $7 each) all night long. Now that’s an omen for table-dancing if there ever was one!

Never one to miss a fiesta, Benjamin Padron of infamous bar Licoreria Limantour in Mexico – will be flying in for the event, joined by his partner, DJ Sussyoh, who will be on the decks, providing party music for the evening.
