Itchy scalp? Irritated crown? Calm down: there is a haircare solution

When I’m shopping for haircare to help tame my locks – and keep my scalp nice and healthy – I need a product whose name does what it says it will. Enter INNOluxe’s Calm Down haircare range, a trio of simple but effective haircare products that live by their name.

Speaking of good ingredients, products are infused with the likes of menthol and tea-tree, licorice and other botanical extracts, each working to reduce inflammation of the scalp, keep bacteria away, and give fungus the flick. There – I’ve mentioned all the nasty things are likely the cause of scalp irritation.

To start with, I washed with Calm Down Shampoo (available in 250ml & 500ml) – which provides a gentle wash but a force to be reckoned with. Best used daily, the shampoo contains biotin to strengthen your locks, panthenol to lend hair a certain softness, and menthol to leave hair looking fresh and smelling delicious.

I followed with Calm Down Conditioner (available in 250ml & 500ml) which provides an intense amount of hydration into every follicle right down to the scalp, leaving you with hair that’s silky, shiny and, most importantly, strong. As I have a bit of a natural wave, I will say this conditioner tends to flatten that, but I’m liking the look of it as we move into Spring and Summer.

To add to the calming of my locks, I used the Calm Down Tonic (100ml) and that’s where that lovely, natural tea tree and menthol really comes into the picture. The soothing relief that stems from these key ingredients ensures my scalp remains non-irritable during the day, and that my hair keeps looking fresh and smelling delish.

Free from sulphates and sodium chloride, I feel confident using this product range and have actually noticed my hair, while softened a little, actually feeling stronger.
