WIN! Double passes to see the whodunnit drama ‘The Critic’ starring Ian Mckellen and Gemma Arterton

Ian Mckellen and Gemma Arterton star in The Critic, alongside Mark Strong, Ben Barnes, Alfred Enoch, Romola Garai and Lesley Manville.

In this reimagining of Anthony Quinn’s novel Curtain Call, Jimmy Erskine (Mckellan) is the Daily Chronicle‘s most famous and featured theatre critic; David Brooke (Strong) is the guy with whom he clashes after recently inheriting the paper; and Nina Land (Arterton) is a young actress who is devastated by Jimmy’s recent negative review of her.

As the three become entangled in a whodunnit wrapped in a Faustian pact, their strange triangle winds tighter and tighter to devastating effect for all those caught in the deadly web of blackmail and betrayal.

Directed by Arnand Tucker, The Critic is in cinemas nationally October 3.
