THE NEW. RETRO. MODERN.

Making your big breakfast bowl even bigger

Talk about a full, well-balanced meal. For breakfast this morning I thought I’d try something new from the pantry, spotting Uncle Tobys Protein Berry-Flavour Big Bowl of Oats. So easy to prepare.

I emptied a sachet of the good stuff into a bowl, added two-thirds of a cup of soy milk, and microwaved on high for two minutes.

Within seconds the scent of delicious real berry was lifting off every oat and wafting through the kitchen.

Once cooked, I decided to make a meal of it and added a spoonful of Uncle Tobys Banana Goodness Shakes powder, then sprinkled some quinoa and millet blend left over from the other night’s Hello Fresh delivery.

I think it’s the healthiest thing I’ve every eaten, and oh-so filling, I probably won’t eat till dinner now. But don’t take my dietary advice on how many meals a day you should have. You do you.

Then I realised, Uncle Tobys already makes rolled oats packed with the other good stuff. There’s their Rolled Oats Protein packed with pepita and chia seeds – all in one handy packet, and an Ancient Grains option with rye, puffed quinoa and millet. Great sources of protein and fibre, respectively, and almost as filling as my own invention.

You yourself might like to add fresh fruit, cinnamon, even fresh berries to your bowl. Whatever the mix, rest assured you’re in good, healthy hands.
