Kylie Minogue announces dates for ‘Tension Tour’ 2025 and release of new album ‘Tension II’
Stacks of great news from Kylie HQ. First up, the pop icon has announced that her highly anticipated ‘Tension Tour’ will kick off in Perth on Saturday 15 February, rounding up in Sydney on Sunday 2 March, 2025. Further dates will then take Kylie to cities across the globe and it’s promised to be the artist’s biggest tour since 2011.
Telstra members have access to presale tickets, available from Tuesday 24 September (times will be staggered, see telstra.com/music for details). Frontier member presale begins Thursday 26 September (times staggered, visit frontiertouring.com/kylie for details) before tickets go on sale Wednesday 2 October.
Says Kylie, “I’m beyond excited and can’t wait to share beautiful and wild moments with fans all over the world, celebrating the ‘Tension’ era and more.”
“It’s been an exhilarating ride so far, and now, get ready for your close-up because I will be calling Lights, Camera, Action.”
That last bit is a reference to Kylie’s new release, the lead single from Tension II titled Lights Camera Action, which will drop September 27 (it’s available to pre-save now).
The other big, big, big announcement is that a new album is being released on October 18. Well, a new album of sorts, being titled Tension II and acting as a “high energy, high octane partner” to Kylie’s global smash Tension.
Tension II sees Kylie heading further into the electronic and dance floor spaces, and includes nine brand new studio tracks plus the latest dance single Edge of Saturday Night (with The Blessed Madonna. Other collaborations on the LP include those with Diplo, Orville Peck, Sia, Bebe Rexha and Tove Lo.
Plenty to get exciting about, then.
