Guinness World Records 2025 is out now, along with return of the Gamer’s Edition, plus win copies of both!

For decades, Guinness World Records has been the global authority on record-breaking achievements, and is celebrating its 70-year anniversary in 2025.

The Guinness World Records 2025 (GWR2025) edition has recently been published and is packed with a feast of features showcasing how the book has evolved over the last seven decades before highlighting what absolutely incredible looks like today.

The platinum anniversary edition boasts a bright cover design by 3D digital artist Chris Labrooy whose main brief was “to find the fun!” hence the cover art features “familiar everyday things in new typographic and sculptural forms”.

But to the big, juicy stuff within. There are chapters on the technology, sports, the natural world, humankind in general and plenty of recordmania.

There’s also a section dedicated to Young Achievers – inspirational record breakers aged 16 or under 16 who’ve been doing brave and brilliant things as well as a special section devoted to Influencers.

With 2025 being a landmark year for Guinness, the publishers are focusing on some platinum-grade record breakers – including Taylor Swift and LeBron James – who epitomise what it means to be a Guinness World Records title holder.

Also, back this year is the Guinness World Records Gamer’s Edition, a record-breaking compendium focusing fully on the world of gaming. Featuring every major game, console, character and developer, the Gamer’s Edition lists the Top 100 Greatest Gaming World Records as selected and ranked by a panel of experts and records researchers.

Let the games begin… oh wait, that’s happened already. Let the results of the games and all sorts of other activities be revealed; all in these two superbly crafted books.
