Bored of what’s on your usual streaming channels? Kanopy has got you covered

Not sure if you’re familiar with streaming site Kanopy but if you aren’t, you should be. Yes, there’s a dozen stream sites out there already but they’re all charging higher amounts for subscriptions these days, and being devoted to to two or three of these already is enough use of your budget. Kanopy, however, is absolutely free. That’s right – a whole lot of films, documentaries and series, all available to stream for free.
It’s easy to get on board; all you need is a library card from any library – state, school, or local, sign up online – et voila! – a bunch of great stuff is yours to peruse. There are specific sections dedicated to classics, comedy, cult and more.
Kanopy occasionally celebrates certain months with themes and this month is ‘Noirvember’ where plenty of noir film titles have hit their library. Immerse yourself in the thrilling and captivating world of film noir, from the classics through to contemporary neo-noir titles.
Explore the genre’s intricate storytelling, atmospheric cinematography, and complex characters that have shaped cinema since the 1940s.
