THE NEW. RETRO. MODERN.

Huge benefit concert featuring Stevie Nicks, Lady Gaga and more will help raise funds for those affected by LA wildfires

Where there’s smoke, there’s fire. And where there’s fire, there’s often disaster. And where there’s disaster, you can bet there’s a huge line of celebrities ready to perform to raise money for a good cause.

This weekend, a host of big-name musicians will be coming together to perform live as part of ‘FireAid’ – a benefit concert that will help raise funds for people affected by the recent wildfires across Los Angeles, California.

The event, which will take place this Saturday 25 January, will include performances from the likes of Californian funk-rockers Red Hot Chili Peppers, local pop/punk trio Green Day, pop icon Lady Gaga, Fleetwood Mac favourite Stevie Nicks, and many more.

A newly minted organisation, FireAid posted on their website today: “Join us for an evening of music and solidarity. The FireAid benefit concert will be held at Intuit Dome and Kia Forum on January 30th dedicated to rebuilding communities that have been devastated by wildfires.”

The artist lineup will continue, with the likes of Lady Gaga, Pink, Billie Eilish, Gwen Stefani, Joni Mitchell, Rod Stewart and Sting all recently signing on, too, to take part.

Now, I’m not sure if it’s too soon, but the aptly named Earth, Wind & Fire will also be performing live. Not a sick joke.

The concert is set to be broadcasted to the world via YouTube, Netflix, Spotify, Prime Video, Paramount+, Apple TV+, Apple Music, Amazon Music, plus the likes of SoundCloud, Twitch and more.

According to FireAid’s website, the concerts will also be streamed at select AMC theatres.

More artist announcements will be made later in the week.
