I scream, you scream, we all scream for free ice cream

What do we love as much as art itself? Gourmet food, and in this particular case, gourmet ice cream from the good people at Messina.
Tonight, two of our passions combines, when Powerhouse Museum in Sydney collaborate with ice cream providores Messina to give away 500 free scoops of ice-cream at Sydney Observatory. The good gooey giveaway begins at 5pm, tonight (that’s Friday 31 January).
The promotion ties in with the celebrations of the launch of Season 2 of the Powerhouse Culinary Archive Podcast which features Messina’s head chef/owner Donato Toce in the first episode Milk. Powerhouse and Gelato Messina have teamed up to create an exclusive flavour ‘Powerhouse Milk’ which will be served exclusively on Friday night.
The custom flavour is made from Messina jersey milk gelato with milk crumb and milk jam. Dulce De Leche and Strawberry sorbet (dairy free) will also be available.
Also, while up at the Observatory on Friday, visitors can also catch the first night of Sunset Variations a free, live music series kicking off on Friday night and running every Friday until late February. Botswana-born, Sydney-based, multi-talented musician Xmunashe will be performing an evolving three-hour set, creating the perfect soundtrack to watch the sun go down and enjoy your free scoop.
