THE NEW. RETRO. MODERN.

Yo-Chi introduces new Beechworth Honey frozen yogurt flavour – plus a secret new cheesecake topping set to drop tomorrow

Yo-Chi has turned up the buzz with a bee-autiful new limited-time frozen yogurt flavour that’s been created in collaboration with the legends at Beechworth Honey.

I’ve been a fan of Yo-Chi frozen yogurt ever since the brand opened its first store in Western Australia in 2022 (that was in Victoria Park, with many outlets having opened since). So it’s always nice to have a new item on the menu, giving me good reason to get off of the cosy couch during winter and drop in to my local Leederville outlet to sample something fresh and delish.

This month, Yo-Chi has introduced a frozen yogurt flavour made with Beechworth’s Traditional Honey, a 100% natural Australian honey that is as pure as it gets. Beechworth apparently boasts such golden goodness that it will now be featured as a permanent topping, too, on Yo-Chi’s warm toppings plate, so it’s always smooth and ready to drizzle over your masterpiece.

I went to the Leederville venue, headed straight to the Beechworth frozen yogurt section, filled my tub a third of the way with the fro-yo, then headed to the toppings bar. Not so surprisingly, just about every topping went perfectly well with the honey yogurt (such is the omni-potency of nature’s honey!).

Beyond making delicious honey, Beechworth is serious about education and conservation.

Oat and cinnamon crumble – check. Choc chip cookie dough – check. Mango mochi balls, strawberry mochi balls – check, check. Actual fresh strawberries – check. Banana, pineapple, kiwi fruit – check, check, check. And the piece de resistence, cinnamon scroll cheesecake – most definitely, ardently, assuredly, yummiliciously check! For the record, the cinnamon scroll cheesecake was supposed to hit shops on June 24, so I was very lucky to get a taste of it in early.

The wonderful news is that the Yo-Chi x Beechworth collaboration is more than just being about good taste and health, it’s about celebrating community, sustainability, and nature’s superheroes… bees!

Beyond making delicious honey, Beechworth is serious about education and conservation, running reputable programs such as ‘Bee School’, which teaches all ages about the magic of bees, their role in pollinating our environment, and how we can all do our part to protect them. They also lead powerful initiatives like ‘Bee Cause’ (very clever name), which raises funds to plant thousands of native trees across permanent conservation land, creating a buzzing haven for bees and other pollinators.

So the next time you’re craving frozen yogurt, make it a Yo-Chi Beechworth Honey frozen yoghurt. Even better, drizzle it with Beechworth Honey from Yo-Chi’s warm toppings table and you’ll be sensing great taste, good health, and thumbs up in realising all the hard work those busy bees do for us.
