THE NEW. RETRO. MODERN.

Oh Lordy, Taylor Swift is getting her own radio station that’ll play only her music 24 hours a day

As if the world wide web wasn’t already overflooded with Taylor Swift content, now the pop star is getting her own radio station – and it’ll be playing only her music 24 hours a day. Talk about overload.

SiriusXM are providing Taylor with her own ‘Channel 13’, and it’s all very timely of course, what with the release of her new studio album The Life of a Showgirl. The new album is out on October 3, and the radio station should be popping off Taylor hits and sneak track previews a few days before then. In fact, the station will be playing Swift’s back catalogue non-stop.

Self-promo of ‘The Life of a Showgirl’ has seen Taylor in Vegas-style get-up, which we’ve already seen Kylie do before (and better, if you want to know my opinion).

Says chief content officer of SiriusXM, Scott Greenstein: “Taylor Swift continues to not only dominate the music world, but every aspect of pop culture. Her chart-topping, award-winning songs resonate with every generation of listeners, and we are thrilled to deliver our subscribers a place to celebrate their fandom and the new album with the launch of Taylor’s Channel 13.”

Once the album is released, the station will play it in full and uninterrupted once every two hours.

Lord help anyone near an old-school radio or tuning into SiriusXM online, then.
