The Mind Warp Pavilion presents its 10th Celebration of the Life & Music of David Bowie

The ‘Mind Warp Pavilion’ is an annual tribute to the late, great David Bowie, performed by an array of talented musicians and hosted every January in Perth.
This year’s event is being held on January 10, the date of the great Bowie’s passing, and two short days after his birthday (January 8).
Organised annually by Greg Dear and Leanne Casellas, this is quite possibly the biggest Bowie-related event on the WA calendar, and this year marks the 10th anniversary of Mind Warp Pavilion so ten cheers for that! It’s not all just rock’n’roll shenanigans… Mind Warp Pavilion has also raised tens of thousands of dollars for the Cancer Council and given solace to Bowie’s legions of fans. It’s an auspicious milestone, one that also marks the 10th anniversary of the Starman’s passing.
This year’s event will feature four blinding bands curated by Dear, an avalanche of great guest vocalists, plus a live string section and choir. Past Mind Warp Pavilion events have featured the likes of Timothy Nelson (we still adore his studio version of Bowie’s Girl Loves Me and hope he’s on stage at the next MWP to deliver it live), Bob Gordon, Natasha Shanks, Denise DeMarchi, Vincent Buchanan of Hideous Sun Demon, and Jake England of The Caballeros.
Along with live music, there’ll be roving art and plenty of fabulous dress-ups. Indeed, dressing up is not mandatory, but you know Bowie would love it if you did. For a quick taste of the magnitude of MWPs past: see YouTube and Facebook albums.
Mind Warp Pavilion 5 will take place at Freo Social on Saturday 10 January, 2026. Tickets are available through moshtix.com.au.
