‘Moulin Rouge! The Musical’ returning to the Sydney stage

Since having been adapted from film to the stage, Moulin Rouge! The Musical has been wowing audiences worldwide.

Blending spectacular theatricality with a mash-up of over 70 pop hits and classic songs. The show celebrates Truth, Beauty, Freedom and — above all — Love in an immersive, high-energy production featuring lavish costumes, dynamic choreography and a breathtaking set that evokes the legendary Parisian cabaret.

The Australian production has enjoyed major success: its national tour, which played in cities including Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Brisbane, concluded in early 2024 after selling 1.4 million tickets and breaking box-office records.

Now, following public demand, Moulin Rouge! The Musical is confirmed to return to Sydney in March 2027 at the Sydney Lyric Theatre, featuring an all-new Australian cast.

Auditions for this season are scheduled in Sydney and Melbourne in March 2026, and tickets are being offered via a priority waitlist with tickets going on general sale later in February 2026.
