WIN! Double passes to see hot new horror film ‘Obsession’

Bear is a hopeless romantic working in a music store, too scared to tell his childhood friend Nikki how he truly feels. He wanders into a New Age shop and picks up a kitschy novelty toy — the One Wish Willow — which, for $6.99, promises one wish. His desire: for Nikki to love him more than anything in the world. And just like that, she does. Nothing could go wrong. Right? What follows is a darkly compelling spiral into obsession, consequence, and just how dangerous it is to get exactly what you wished for.
Director Curry Barker is one of horror’s most exciting new voices right now: he built his following via YouTube before shooting his debut found-footage film for $800, which racked up 2M views online.
Obsession was the first acquisition of the Toronto International Film Festival 2025 where Focus Features paid $15M+ for worldwide rights, Jason Blum came on as executive producer, and Blumhouse greenlit his next film before it had even screened. It’s currently sitting at 95% on Rotten Tomatoes, and he’s just been announced to direct the Texas Chainsaw reboot. So definitely one to watch!
Michael Johnston (Teen Wolf) stars opposite Inde Navarrette (Superman & Lois), with Cooper Tomlinson, Megan Lawless, and Andy Richter rounding out the cast.
