Fatboy Slim still loves Australia and proves it with a tour cross-country in March

Few DJs-come-producers manage to express the art of aural intertextuality as well as Fatboy Slim. Be it sampling a traditional riff and turning it into something altogether awesome-and-now, or mashing disparate genres, or melding touching melodies with big beats, Fatboy Slim (aka: Norman Cook) is your man.

Heading down under next month for his biggest outdoor summer rave, Fatboy Slim will perform a series of live gigs across the country with his Fatboy Slim loves Australia Tour, taking it to Perth, Bowral, Barossa Valley, Geelong, Mount Cotton,  now punctuated somewhere around the middle with a show at Roundhouse, Sydney. Fatboy Slim pretty much sums up everything that was great about dance music in the ’90s, with hits such as ‘Praise You’, ‘The Rockafeller Skank’, ‘Weapon of Choice’ (that video featuring Christopher Walkens!), and ‘Right Here, Right Now’.

Special guests on all outdoor shows are DJ Seinfeld (Sweden), CC:DISCO! (Australia) and Jennifer Loveless (Australia). For specials guests at other shows, you’ll have to do your own sussing out online as news and info comes to hand.
