See Inside Box for Details: Bris-Vegas artist Ben Frost takes to the streets (and galleries) of San Francisco

Controversial Australian street artist, graphic aesthete and painter, Ben Frost, will be showcasing a unique body of work in September this year at the Shooting Gallery in San Francisco.
Titled ‘See Inside Box for Details’, we can expect the work on display to be perfectly packaged and excellently curated, bound to boast the biggest of brand names alongside the coolest of pop cultural cut-outs and stencilling.
Critiquing our media-obsessed society and our loss of innocence through advertising, Frost’s works subvert logos, icons, and characters from popular culture and re-presents them in startling and often confronting new ways. Often a work feels like a million dollars of some multinational company have gone down the drown with one simple juxtaposition, and yet big brand names are clamoring to work with the artist.
He’s collaborated with Jeremy Scott to produce a capsule collection for Moschino (2018), partnered with Carolina Herrera for a limited-edition release of her ‘212 Pop!’ fragrance. And worked with Mambo on a clothing range, and J&B Whiskey in promoting a bevvy line.

‘See Inside Box for Details’ aims to re-evaluate our understanding of product advertising by juxtaposing unlikely and confronting elements into some of our most loved and well known consumer icons. Ben Frost confronts the conjoined twins of capitalism and consumerism with striking compositions that present a chaotic look at a seedy nature underlining pop culture, presenting sex and violence in a glamorous role.
‘See Inside Box for Details’ is on from September 08 – 29, 2026 at the Shooting Gallery in San Francisco.
