THE NEW. RETRO. MODERN.

Doyenne of the burlesque world Dita von Teese brings her newest show ‘Nocternelle’ to Australia in August

An icon who pretty much single-handedly brought burlesque to the mainstream, Dita Von Teese delivers her acclaimed burlesque shows the world over, each crammed with beauty and spectacle, grace and just a pinch of delicate debauchery. Yes, we made that oxymoron up but we’re sticking with it. Sex and sexuality should be spunky and can be classy, and Dita’s the woman who best gives masterclassed in them.

The artist first / business woman second is bringing her newest show to Australia in August, and if past shows are anything to go by, this one is sure to be as resplendant, sexy and spunky (but never too sassy). And stylish, definitely stylish.

Presented by the credible and diverse team at TEG Dainty, the noiresque titled Nocturnelle tour will take Dita to major cities across the country, performing in iconic theatres: Her Majesty’s Theatre in Adelaide (5 Aug), Palais Theatre in Melbourne (8 Aug), Canberra Theatre Centre (10 Aug), State Theatre Sydney (14 & 15 Aug) and QPAC Concert Hall in Brisbane (17–19 Aug), with additional Brisbane dates added due to demand.

Shows are strictly 18+ only and tickets are available through official outlets such as Ticketmaster as well as at local theatre box offices.

And what to expect from the Queen of Burlesque herself? Confidently, we can report a glamorous, theatrical production that blends classic burlesque with elements of vintage illusion and Old Hollywood-inspired spectacle. The show draws on Dita’s signature “stripscapes” and is themed around the magic and mystique of 19th-century performance art, promising an opulent and enchanting evening of dance, costume and stagecraft.

A lovely message from the beautiful and sexy Dita von Teese when Cream turned… well, a woman never reveals her age. Unless you’d like to get into particular role-play, darling…

Nocturnelle follows her hugely successful Glamonatrix global tour, which remains one of the most expansive burlesque tours in history, and represents her latest creative evolution — sophisticated, sensual, and steeped in vintage glamour.
