Forget the oversaturation of Madonna songs all over social media for a bit, and tune in to a brilliant pop tune. This track is one of those sad-but-ultimately-glorious singalongs like Temper Trap’s Sweet Disposition. Not sure why it’s making me think of that track, suffice to say We. Love. This. Not overhyped, clear lyrics so you know what’s being sung, soaring chorus, and who doesn’t love a bit of Snow Patrol and Kylie? Song of the week. AT

Recently, I included Adam Lambert in an anthology of interviews with culture icons – music artists I’ve chatted with whom I believe are leaving a positive cultural impact on various generations: in Adam’s case, Gens X, Y and Z (and occasionally your Nan – when there’s no dirty words in the songs!). Adam’s new single Under The Rhythm is sure to solidify this status – it’s that good a groove. Forget that it kicks off with a familiar sample from club outfit ATQ, the fresh bass and backclaps on this track rock (and make you groove). Moody and fabulously glam all at once. Antonino Tati

Never heard this track before, because it’s apparently been held in a vault since Prince passed away. It sounds very unfinished but then that’s part of its charm. A muffly kind of heaven, but we like a lot. Lisa Andrews
