French tongue-in-cheek sporting label Le Coq Sportif and melt-on-your-tongue chocolate brand M&Ms have combined forces in vibrant retro fashion to create the Eclat M&M, a one-off sneaker that boasts bold hues and cushy fabric. The result of this colorful collaboration is a delicious collector’s item: an Eighties-looking running shoe complete with quirky M&M mascots Red and Yellow appearing separately on each tongue. The redesigned shoebox actually looks like a giant pack of peanut M&Ms, with nutritional value of the product printed on the side (in what we can only assume is a precautionary measure to assuage the dietary fears of the fashion hungry). The Eclat M&M will have heads turning and mouths watering; but with only 500 pairs available, you better get your foot in quick. RRP $159.95 available from Footage (Darlinghurst), Laced (Brisbane), Footlocker and La Gerbe D’Or Patisserie (Sydney). Suddenly, the phrase ‘foot in mouth’ doesn’t seem so bad.
