A cool blend of contemporary & retro culture

Luxurious places that will make your wallet twitch

Nowadays everyone loves a bit of the high life. Where high-end holidays and Michelin starred restaurants were once the exclusive domain of the rich and famous, now it seems that we all want a taste of luxury. And why not?! It’s a fast paced world and if we’re going to work hard, we deserve to play hard, too. What’s a few grand to lay on one of the world’s best beaches or live it large in a casino with the super-rich? Have a dig behind the sofa for any loose change and start thinking about that overtime as we look at some of the most luxurious places in the world.

Sainte Anne Resort, Seychelles

Few things say luxury more than staying on a private island. Choose from one of 87 private villas, opulence oozing from each one. A beautiful resort surrounded by a marine park in the Indian ocean, offering world-class diving (along with any other sporting activity you may care for), a spa by Clarins and four restaurants. You won’t want to leave.

The Woodland Spa, Lancashire

There are many stunning spas all over the world but you don’t need to travel too far to find a place to cleanse your body and soul. This spa in sunny Lancashire has recently been awarded both Global Spa of the Year and Best Emerging Luxury Spa. Set in dramatic, rolling countryside, you will find a vast range of beauty, massage and holistic treatments. If even Lancashire is a bit far, you could always find a spa closer to home.

The Venetian Macao Resort Hotel, Macau

Las Vegas is often thought of as the general go-to for spectacular casinos and while it is indeed home to some great gambling, there are other big players in more beautiful and luxurious surroundings. The Macau is a 10.6 million square foot casino offering everything you could ask for in a decadent den of opportunity. With gondola rides and 46 restaurants in the resort, it’s a luxury worth saving up for. Perhaps, while pondering some money-making schemes, you could brush up on your Roulette in Betway’s online luxury casino. You never know, you might get lucky and those dreams could be closer than you think!

Regent Seven Seas Explorer

It doesn’t get more exclusive than a cruise ship yet to set sail. Its maiden voyage due this spring, they’ve thought of everything with this one; glamorous, ranch-style decor, indulgent shopping experiences and on-board gastronomic delights. The Explorer will also feature the largest ever cruise ship suite covering 3,875 square feet and a private garden; a snip at £3,057 per person, per night.

El Celler de Can Roca, Girona, Spain

The three Roca brothers who own and run this restaurant have won nearly every gastronomic accolade. Read the timeline on their website to find out the inspiration behind such dishes as the ‘caviar omelette’! El Celler is one of a rare breed of restaurants awarded 3 Michelin stars. Delicious Catalan cuisine served with a mixture of the rustic and the avant garde, this is a dining experience to make your heart sing.

Sit back and relax as you contemplate luxuriating in some of the world’s most lavish locales. There are plenty more sumptuous settings and I could go on but all these pipe dreams are making me sleepy…
