'Veep' cast and crew have a chuckle at our pollies…

The producers and cast of fictional TV series ‘Veep’ are having a laugh over our Australian politicians.

The creator of the show says the nonsensical phrase “continuity with change” — which was unwittingly borrowed by Australian MPs on Tuesday — was one of the most meaningless election slogans the show has delivered, and yet it has been adopted repeatedly by Aussie politicians.

Actor Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who plays ditzy VP Selina Meyer, says she was “dumbstruck” to hear Australia’s Malcolm Turnbull and his backbenchers using the phrase over and over again.
