THE NEW. RETRO. MODERN.

The Who's Who of Classic Rock at one Huge Festival

If you thought Coachella was a big event on the festival circuit, wait till you see the line-up of a mega-concert being put on by the very folks behind Coachella.

‘Desert Trip’, hosted at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, will feature the Rolling Stones, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Neil Young, The Who, and Roger Waters of Pink Floyd. And, that, baby boomers, is one great dream gig.

These big-wig artists will perform over the weekend of October 7, 8 and 9, and then again the next weekend over October 14, 15 and 16.

Sure, while most of these rock dinosaurs enjoyed their halcyon days and sold more records from the late 1960s to the mid-1970s, their influence has without a doubt filtered through to countless rock acts today.

Roger Daltrey of the Who even acknowledged the relic factor, jokingly calling the line-up “the greatest remains of our era”.

Tickets to ‘Desert Trip’ start at $US399 for the full three-day lineup, and max at around $US1,600 for a grandstand seat.

And with flights to the US only costing around $900 return at the moment, that’s a damn good deal all-up considering the immense amount of classic talent.  Antonino Tati
