THE NEW. RETRO. MODERN.

The ‘Gay Oscars’

The Oscars might be Hollywood’s night-of-nights, but for true drama queens it’s all about The Australian LGBTI Awards.

Dubbed the ‘Gay Oscars’, this red-carpet showstopper will roll into town in 2018, and will be looking to build on the huge success of the inaugural event that took place earlier this year.

To mark its return, nominations for the 2018 awards have just been announced, with the winners to be crowned on the big night in March at The Star, Sydney.

This year’s ceremony saw a veritable who’s who of community leaders, celebrities and organisations come out in force to celebrate the achievements of the LGBTQI community. Attendees at the inaugural awards included such luminaries as Lucy Lawless, Joel Creasy, Molly Meldrum, The Veronicas, Michelle Heyman, Magda Szubanski and Jordan Raskopoulos.

With such incredible talent up for awards in 2018, now is the time to get nominating to make sure your favourite doesn’t come away empty-handed.

One thing is for sure: looking fabulous is a must.  Chris Prindiville
