Return of the talk show king

David Letterman (yep, that’s him beneath the Santa-like beard, above) may have bid adieu to late night television, but after two years of being absent from our screens, the talk show legend is back.

Premiering in 2018 on Netflix, the as-yet-untitled program, which will come out as six, hour-long installments, will find the host interviewing one guest each episode, as well as comedy and “curiosity” bits outside of the studio.

With the new crop of late night hosts still finding their feet, the announcement of Letterman’s return might just shake things up a bit.

Better still, they might just learn a thing or two about putting on a show.  Chris Prindiville
