Should beer great day out!
With the weather starting to warm up, what better way to spend a lazy Sunday afternoon in October than at Oktoberfest in the Garden. And with the craft beer craze exploding in recent years, partakers and makers of all stripes are sure to be out in force, ready to put the brews through their paces.
Entering its 7th year, the event has become anything but small beer. The 2017 edition promises to be the best yet, with a huge selection of imported German beer, cider, wine and a range of other beverages available, plus more food than you can poke a stick at (or though).
Inspired by the traditional Bavarian festival, Oktoberfest in the Garden will feature Australia’s largest German Bier Halls, authentic German food stalls, roving performers, a sideshow alley with all the classics, crowd favourite ‘silent disco’ and an eclectic mix of entertainment and competitions across multiple stages, throughout the afternoon and evening.
Come October, Perth punters, be sure to loosen up that lederhosen and get ready to fill up that beer belly. Chris Prindiville
Oktoberfest in the Garden is on October 7 at Langley Park, Perth.
