A cooler blend of culture

Stranger things about to happen

Stranger Things Season 2 cream magazine @2x

Later this month, things will be getting a little strange down at the Sydney Opera House.

The iconic landmark has been chosen as the venue for the Season 2 Australian premiere of the cult Netflix-original drama, Stranger Things. And if this isn’t exciting enough, the screening has been timed to coincide with the global LA premiere, hours before the first episode drops on Netflix.

Entering an alternate dimension, super-fans will be treated to the supernatural world of the Upside Down, with the Opera House’s Northern and Southern Foyers completely transformed into the world of Hawkins circa 1984, where the second series picks up.

Encouraged to dress up for the event, fans can expect to be fully immersed in a banging ’80s soundtrack, arcade games including pinball machines and air hockey, themed food including Benny’s Burgers, and much more.

After a year-long wait, Australian fans are ready to gear up again for some more supernatural thrills and chills. And with Halloween just around the corner, strange is the name of the game.  Chris Prindiville
