Best of Edinburgh Comedy

A taste of Scotland’s multi-award winning comedy acts, The Best of Edinburgh Comedy is always a favourite on the Fringe World calendar.

This year presented in the intimate Red Room at The Court Hotel where the coldies could be swilled while enjoying the comic churns with tangy Scottish accents that are quite the obsession with the Scots and Irish.

The highlight stand-up comic was Chris Forbes whose confident, affable best-mate demeanour won audiences over from the get-go, barrelling them with laughs a minute.

‘Lisa’s’ not happy’ narrative seemed unsure and untested, leaving the audience a little underwhelmed.

The final act, a big bloke with big laughs brought the room back to life, with a cracking delivery that pinned smiles from ear to ear.  Annette McCubbin
