Actress Jameela Jamil slams Kim Kardashian for promoting body dysmorphia
Finally, someone intelligent enough has had the gall to speak up against the inane entity that is Kim Kardashian.
“This family makes me feel actual despair over what women are reduced to.”
On Tuesday afternoon, Kardashian posted a photograph on her Instagram account in which she was sucking on a ‘Flat Tummy’ appetite-suppressing lollipop.
In her typically half-witted fashion, Kardashian called the lollipops “literally unreal”, pushing her followers to the brand’s site (“15% off … you need to do it quick!”) and even throwing in #suckit.
The post triggered anger among her followers, which add up to a hefty 111 million.
It also sparked the wrath of Jameela Jamil, actor in The Good Place and outspoken campaigner for body positivity.
“No. Fuck off. No. You [are a] terrible and toxic influence on young girls,” tweeted Jamil.
She added: “I admire their mother’s branding capabilities, she is an exploitative but innovative genius, however this family makes me feel actual despair over what women are reduced to.
“MAYBE don’t take appetite suppressors and eat enough to fuel your BRAIN and work hard and be successful. And to play with your kids. And to have fun with your friends. And to have something to say about your life at the end, other than ‘I had a flat stomach’,” continued Jamil.
All hail, Jameela Jamil! Antonino Tati
