Canada legalises marijuana for recreational use
Canadian parliament has just passed a law that legalises the recreational use of marijuana nationwide.
The Cannabis Act, as it is appropriately known, was passed on Tuesday, with votes pro marijuana legalisation winning by a landslide (52-29 vote in the Senate).
The law outlines regulations on how the drug can be harvested, distributed and sold, with Canadians able to buy, sell and consume cannabis legally as early as the start of September.
Canada is only the second country worldwide to legalise marijuana for recreational use, following Uruguay which legalised it in December 2013.
So what are you waiting for? Light up and celebrate! Antonino Tati
