Cher reveals tracklisting for ABBA covers album; plus Oz tour dates

Cher Dancing Queen by Machado Cicala cream magazine cr @2x

It’s official. Cher will be releasing that album of ABBA covers as promised last month. Titled Dancing Queen, the 10-track album includes some of ABBA’s most famous songs but each one is delivered very, very differently.

Aside from the title track, there’s Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! (A Man After Midnight), SOS, Waterloo, Chiquitita, Fernando – which we got a taste of in the new Mamma Mia movie, and of course Mamma Mia, the song itself.

For a covers album, this one has a lot of hype surrounding it, least of all for the fact Cher is supporting it with a major tour that includes Australia and New Zealand.

Cher will kick off her tour in Newcastle on September 26 and round it off in Sydney on October 20. Full dates and venues are listed below.

Oh, and tune in to the totally fabulous Vocoder-ed version of Gimme! Gimme! Gimme! right here!  Antonino Tati
