Perpetual spunk-rat Rob Lowe to star in new six-part crime series
Decent actor, general scallywag, and all-round perpetual spunk-rat Rob Lowe (will he ever age?) is set to star in a six-part crime drama titled Wild Bill.
Lowe, who will also act as executive producer of the series, stars as a high-flying U.S. police officer named Bill Hixon who arrives in Boston with the hope of shedding a painful past and starting afresh. But the unimpressed community around him forces Bill to question everything about himself.
The series, which is being made to air initially on British channel ITV in early 2019, will eventually be syndicated to international networks, most likely a streaming network in Australia such as Stan or Netflix.
Rob Lowe was last prominent on television as happy-go-lucky yuppy Chris Traeger in Parks & Recreation, who singlehandedly injected the word ‘literally’ into the pop cultural vernacular. His character once even dropped the word seven times in two minutes which is awesome in itself, really.
Like, literally. Antonino Tati
