H&M rope in a bunch of celebs to model its holiday collection
Tres affordable fashion label H&M is hitting the northern hemisphere holiday season with a clever campaign consisting of six mini ‘episodes’ of a mock series, each featuring celebs holidaying at mock establishment named Hotel Mauritz.
The mini-series is directed by former Saturday Night Live writer Matt Piedmont, and features Parks & Recreation star Aubrey Plaza, model Grace Elizabeth, musician Adonis Bosso, and “influencers” (we still can’t help putting the quotation marks there) Elizabeth and Victoria Lejonhjärta.
What we really love about the campaign is its throwback to ’80s music, including Neneh Cherry’s ‘Buffalo Stance’ and Tiffany’s ‘I Think We’re Alone Now’.
While the clothing itself is all wintry-cosy style, the campaign does give Aussies a hint at what we can expect from H&M’s 2019 winter collection. That is, a lot of classic relaxed pieces in monochromes, and the odd home-spun-looking unique piece. Lisa Andrews
