Coroner confirms: Keith Flint’s death was suicide caused by hanging

It was announced by a coroner today that Keith Flint, lead singer of The Prodigy, died by hanging himself.

Local police found Flint dead at his home in Essex, England, on March 4.

Police insist the singer’s death is not suspicious.

Strangely, Flint had been feeling fine the week up to his suicide. Just days before his death, he had taken part in a five-kilometre park run, beating his old record at 21 minutes to complete it.

He had also recently come off tour just weeks before, and was planning a tour of the U.S. in May to coincide with the release of the group’s new album No Tourists.

Fans continue to pay tribute to Flint through social media channels.
