Tinder introduces ‘Festival Mode’ on its app; breaks into the music festival market
Online dating – well, ‘pick-up’ – app, Tinder, is moving into the music festival market.
Tinder announced today that it is partnering with concert organisers and promoters AEG Worldwide and Live Nation to create a new feature called ‘Festival Mode’.
Users of the app can now add participating festivals to their Tinder profiles, which then lets them view, match and meet with other Tinder users who have marked themselves as attending.
It means you could be hooking up with that shirtless bogan and his girlfriend with the camel-toe in no time.
So far the app features international music festivals such as Parklife (UK), Lovebox (UK), Firefly (US) and Governor’s Ball (US).
Should the feature work well overseas for advertisers and such, Tinder may see it adopted in Australia for our own festivals.
Which means you could be hooking up with that shirtless bogan and his girlfriend with the camel-toe in no time.
