Twilight’s Robert Pattinson looks set to be the next Batman
We’re used to seeing him play a vampire in Twilight – albeit dressed more human-like than vamp – but soon we may see actor Robert Pattinson in an actual cape – when he dons a bat suit to play The Batman in the next installment of the superhero franchise.
Although not 100 per cent confirmed (99.99 more like), Pattinson is the top choice to play Gotham’s great saviour, and is expected to sign the dotted line with producers soon.
Previous ‘Batmen’ have been played by Michael Keaton, Val Kilmer, Christian Bale, George Clooney and, more recently, Ben Affleck.
Directed by Matt Reeves (the filmmaker behind the last two Planet of the Apes sequels), The Batman is expected to be in cinemas June 25, 2021.
