Man arrested for transporting $200 million worth of crystal meth; seized after crashing into parked police car
It’s bad enough if a geezer smashes into a police car. Much, much, much, much worse if that geezer happens to be transporting $200 million worth of crystal methamphetamine.
New South Wales Police stated that a man driving a Toyota Hi-Ace van and carrying 273kg of the drug crystal meth smashed into a police car parked outside the Eastwood Police Station.
The accident occurred at around 10.30am yesterday and was evidenced on CCTV footage.
The driver was pulled over by an Eastwood officer about an hour later, with officers discovering several boxes in the van containing bags of methamphetamine.
Twenty-six-year-old Berala resident Simon Tu has been arrested on charges of large commercial drug supply and negligent driving. He was denied bail and is scheduled to appear in court today.
