John Travolta to revisit Aussie shores for Supanova Adelaide & Brisbane, and one-off evenings in Sydney and Melbourne
Forget the secretive lifestyle. Forget the Scientology. Focus on the super-stardom instead and be impressed when we tell you John Travolta is heading to Oz to headline Supanova Comic Con & Gaming in Brisbane and Adelaide this November.
Travolta is known for hopping from one genre to the next with absolute ease, having appeared in thrillers (Carrie and Blowout), comedies (Hairspray, Get Shorty), action (Swordfish, The Punisher), and a whole lot more.
He who has danced his way into celluloid history – from Grease to Saturday Night Fever to that dance with Uma in Pulp Fiction – will grace our shores to present An Evening With John Travolta in Sydney (Wednesday, 6 November) and Melbourne (Sunday, 10 November).
The Golden Globe and Emmy-winning, two-time Academy Award-nominated actor will kick off his trip by making an exclusive appearance on Sunday 3 November at Supanova 2019 in Adelaide, and then on Friday, 8 November at Supanova 2019, Brisbane!
In a career traversing five decades, Travolta’s breakthrough was on TV in Welcome Back Kotter before making his movie debut in the disco classic Saturday Night Fever.
He’s also known for hopping from one genre to the next with absolute ease, having appeared in thrillers (Carrie and Blowout), comedies such as (Hairspray, Get Shorty), action (Swordfish, The Punisher), and a whole lot more.
But why a comic convention of indie proportions? Well two words: Pulp. Fiction.
Also, lest we forget Travolta’s most recent movie role has been as a stalker in The Fanatic directed by Limp Bizkit frontman Fred Durst – and you can’t get more indie than that.

I’m guessing while he’s here, Travolta will be keeping in touch with the star who helped put him on the universal map, Olivia Newton-John. Now, wouldn’t that be great to see those two together again?
