A cool blend of contemporary & retro culture

Mardi Gras broadcast presenters announced – plus, first time live to TV!

Ordinarily, Mardi Gras would see a delay in its parade as presented on SBS TV. It takes a while to edit the best shots of thousands of beautiful LGBTQI folk, doncha know!

Now for the first time, SBS will bring all the colour and chaos of the 2020 Mardi Gras Parade live to lounge-rooms across Australia, with a special broadcast to air on Saturday 29th February from 7.30pm.

Joining comedian Joel Creasey and Studio 10 Presenter Narelda Jacobs will be drag icon Courtney Act and comedian Zoë Coombs Marr to host coverage of the event.

The broadcast will feature interviews with celebrity guests Sam Smith, Dua Lipa and Kesha as well as a special performance from Courtney Act and a few other surprises.

If you can’t make it to Sydney’s Oxford Street on the night, this is the next best thing. Just don’t forget your feather boa and rainbow flag. Or at least a little glitter.
