‘Parks and Recreation’ cast get together (actually, stay apart) for a one-off lockdown special

The ‘Parks And Recreation’ cast return for a one-off ‘isolation’ episode: (l-r) Nick Offerman as Ron Swanson, Aubrey Plaza as April Ludgate, Aziz Ansari as Tom Haverford, Adam Scott as Ben Wyatt, Amy Poehler as Leslie Knope, Jim O’Heir as Jerry Gergich, Rashida Jones as Ann Perkins, Chris Pratt as Andy Dwyer, Retta as Donna Meagle, Rob Lowe as Chris Traeger.
Winning multiple Primetime Emmy Awards, Parks and Recreation has gone on to become a cult classic and bonafide mass market hit.
Fabulous comedienne/actress Amy Poehler has played lovable councilwoman Leslie Knope – drawing a host of marvelous misfits into her mad parliamentary world – for seven successful seasons.
Now, Parks and Recreation will return for a special one-off episode featuring the original cast which will air Thursday 30th April 30th, at 8:30 p.m. ET/PT on NBC.
The episode will help raise money for Feeding America’s COVID-19 Response Fund, which is providing additional assistance to food banks around the U.S. during the pandemic. And as we know, the U.S. is having a mighty difficult time coping with infections of COVID-19.
The new episode will be set in the present day and centre around the attempts of Leslie to keep in touch with her friends and colleagues as they social distance.
Along with Poehler, cast members Rashida Jones, Chris Pratt, Nick Offerman, Rob Lowe, Aziz Ansari, Adam Scott, Aubrey Plaza, Jim O’Heir, and Retta will appear in the show while “special guest stars from the Pawnee universe may pop in” as well.
It is rumoured that when word first went out via email inviting cast members to take part in the special episode every actor got back to the producers within 45 minutes. So you know the vibe (even off the set) for this particular episode is going to be a great one.
