Schapelle Corby to star in reality TV show
After appearing in one of her brother’s concept videos as a ‘sex therapist’, it wouldn’t surprise most folks to learn that Schapelle Corby will be starring in a reality TV show.
The 43-year-old ex-convict – previously charged and imprisoned for drug trafficking – is set to feature in the Channel 7 program, SAS Australia.
In an odd setting, the show will see Corby compete with 13 other C-list celebs, tackling physical and mental exercises akin to those subjected to members of the UK’s Special Air Service.
Other ‘stars’ in the show include Nick ‘Honey Badger’ Cummins, former Labor MP Emma Husar and, for no apparent reason other than the fact Australia is lacking in celebrity status, Shane Warne‘s son Jackson.
“We go into the SAS as a number, not a name,” says Corby, “which is significant for me because I won’t be Schapelle Corby, I will just be a human being.”
Corby added that she wants to “stop being institutionalised.”
“I want to open my freedom to a happier more fulfilling life,” she told the Sunday Telegraph.
Corby was previously rumoured to be appearing on a slate of reality shows including Dancing With The Stars, The Bachelorette, and I’m A Celebrity … Get Me Out Of Here!
