Why you’re going to be absolutely addicted to ‘ReFace’: the deep-fake app that’ll turn you into any celebrity in seconds
There’s a new app on the market that can have you ending up looking like your fave celebs and film characters in seconds, and it’s absolutely addictive. It’s called ReFace and it’s fun, free and very easy to use.
I first came across the app a fortnight ago and have already witnessed my head deep-faked over the bodies of David Bowie, Jack Nicholson, Madonna, Britney Spears, Billie Eilish, Billy Idol… the list goes on.
ReFace allows you to impose your face on gifs and video clips of famous peeps. The app incorporates templates containing official music and sound and offers new gifs and clips every day. Or you can search for the celeb of your choice and see dozens of options come up.
Simply upload a photo of your face and the AI software does the deep-fake work for you.
The great thing is that you can download each and every face-edited clip onto your phone to go promo crazy on Insta, Facebook or Twitter.
And the image library consists of more than just photos; there are heaps of animated gifs and illustrations for you to superimpose your mug onto, just like I did here with man of many faces, David Bowie.
But be warned, ReFace is very addictive and you could get lost in it for hours.
It’s simple to use, and with a bunch of free tries every three hours without subscription – or unlimited uses with subscription – it’s sure to become your new favourite waste of time.
