Triple J release vinyl recordings of ‘Like A Version’ tracks for Record Store Day 2020
Record Store Day takes place this Saturday 29 August, and in times like Covid there’s no better cosy thing to do at home than slap on some vinyl records and think of the good old days.
To get into the Record Store Day spirit, this year Triple J is releasing a run of limited edition 7’’ vinyl singles featuring some of the most iconic Like A Version performances.
These will be available from this weekend in participating indie record stores which you’ll see listed at the RSD Australia website.
Side A of each vinyl features the cover and Side B contains the original, all recorded live from Triple J’s official ‘Like A Version’ studio.
To give you an idea of what artists are covering what, there’s Angus & Julia Stone doing Drake’s Passionfruit and Chateau, Fidlar delivering Billie Eilish’s Xanny and Be Myself, Flume doing his take on Ghost Town DJs’ My Boo and Never Be Like You, and Vance Joy covering Sia’s Elastic Heart and We’re Going Home.
Record Store Day was postponed from April to August this year due to Covid-19 restrictions.
