Donald and Melania Trump both have Covid-19

US President Donald Trump and first lady Melania Trump have both tested positive for coronavirus, according to a Tweet by the President early this morning.
It is an ironic (or perhaps not-so-ironic) diagnosis, considering Trump’s arrogance and apparent pig-headedness toward the subject of Coronavirus.
At 74 years old, Donald Trump falls into the highest risk category for serious complications from coronavirus, which has already killed more than 200,000 Americans and over 1 million people worldwide.
Trump’s infection with the disease could see his already declining popularity reach even lower levels.
At the most recent debate between Trump and Democratic rival Joe Biden, the Republican leader was seen without a protective mask, whilst Biden and his wife walked off the set wearing theirs.
Donald and Melania are not showing extreme symptoms yet something must have lead to the pair wanting to take Covid tests to begin with. It is odd, critics are saying, that the man who has tried to deter his constituency from being tested has gone on to have he and his wife tested.
Trump’s doctor says the US President is “doing very well” in hospital as he begins a course of the anti-viral drug remdesivir.
