A cool blend of contemporary & retro culture

Ethical Clothing Australia Week is now on: celebrating all things fashion, locally made and sustainable

A stylish wardrobe is always a nice thing to have. A stylish wardrobe full of clothes that have been ethically made is even better.

Monday saw the first ‘Ethical Clothing Australia Week’ kick off, with the retail industry highlight ethically accredited Australian manufacturers and locally-made textiles, clothing and footwear.

It’s a chance for the fashion industry and retail to celebrate businesses, designers and, importantly, the skilled workers who are behind the garments being made in Australia.

The week itself might be new – this year seeing it inaugurally celebrated, but 2020 also marks ECA’s 20 year anniversary.

ECA-accredited businesses have planned a bunch of digital and in-person events to coincide with ECA Week including virtual tours of factories, Q&As with business owners, meet-the-makers campaigns and much more.

As a consumer you can show your support for #ECAWeek2020 by registering for accredited business events, joining the conversation on social media and spreading the word about ethical manufacturing and the protection of our Australian garment workers.

Sign up with this link and start buying local and ethical. You’ll not only look great, but feel it.

Ethical Clothing Australia Week runs from October 18-24, 2020.
