Who’s ready to party on the steps of Cathedral Square in Sydney?
The NSW Government and City of Sydney have unveiled a new COVID-safe, pop-up outdoor performance venue dubbed Sunset Piazza.
An Italo-themed summer pop-up stage, Sunset Piazza will come alive from 28 January to 21 March on the steps of Cathedral Square opposite Hyde Park, Sydney.
The mini festival will feature live performances from artists spanning contemporary pop, comedy, hip-hop and indie rock, while there will be a charge for punters to soak in the summer vibes, tickets costing $25.
There’ll be food aplenty, with artisan suppliers serving everything from crostini to cannoli – and of course there’ll be plenty to drink, too.

Peking Duk are part of the Sunset Piazza lineup.
The first batch of artists to perform at Sunset include pop-folk singer Alex The Astronaut; Adelaide MC Allday; indie muso Ben Lee; electro duo Peking Duk (DJ set); queer party folks Heaps Gay and dancefloor slayers Sneaky Sound System.
All events will follow Covid-safe regulations and guests are reminded to follow the latest NSW Health advice regarding social distancing, hygiene and staying home if unwell.
No moshing then, ya hear?
