Fashion designer Camilla Franks teams up with Robbie Williams to create a ‘rock star’ inspired casualwear collection
Fashion designer Camilla Franks – renowned for her kaftans and swimwear – has teamed up with pop star Robbie Williams to create a collection of cool casualwear.
The collection will feature prints that “embody” Robbie’s life, hence we’ll see angels to represent his first big international single, names of his children, lyrics from his songs and images inspired by Williams’ tattoos. There is even a tiger motif featured as a cheeky nod to the underwear Williams revealed in his Rock DJ video of eons ago.
Williams has worn the designer’s clothing in the past, once even saying that Camilla is his favourite designer and is tipped to wear an item from the collection during his performance at the AFL Grand Final later this month.
Though she now knows the pop star well enough to call him a business buddy, Camilla can occasionally still get giddy like a fan, saying to the Courier Mail this week: “I remember our first Zoom meeting; [Robbie] answered the phone topless with a doona covering [his] bottom half, so trying to keep it together was interesting. I had to, sort of, remain professional.”
Robbie Williams has been spending some time in Australia recently, shooting scenes for his forthcoming biopic, Better Man which is being co-written and directed by Victorian filmmaker Michael Gracey.
