Since its launch in 1987, more than 100 billion cans of Red Bull have been sold worldwide, including 9.8 billion in 2021. Now that’s a heck of a lot of energy drink!
Originally available only in a single – some might say “nondescript” – flavour packaged in its traditional silver-blue can, Red Bull has since released some very interesting spin-off flavours.
The Red Bull Editions, for example, have combined the good energy drink with various exotic flavours including Apricot-Strawberry, Pomegranate, Watermelon, and even Dragonfruit.
Now comes a very healthy one: Açaí. Along with the usual ingredients of caffeine, taurine, B-group vitamins, sugars and water, there’s the added goodness of Açaí berry.
What’s Açaí good for we hear you ask? It apparently helps stimulate the immune system, is good for the skin, can aid athletic performance, and even – ahem – help with erectile dysfunction.
Red Bull gives you more than just wings, then.
The bevvy itself has a nice tangy aftertaste and you can definitely taste that berry. It even tastes lovelier with a dash of pink gin. This week’s after-work drinks sorted, then…
