Cutisé: a brand whose name may sound cute but with products that are seriously good at boosting your skin’s appeal

I grew up with a father who was a fruit vendor for most of my childhood and teen years. We had fresh vegetables for dinner and fruit for dessert every night. As an adult, I have sadly eaten less and less all that natural goodness, and I’m rather embarrassed about that. Instead, I’m big on the supplements, catching up on my vitamin intake with every capsule I pop into my mouth.
Vitamin C is the big one, but did you know that outside of diet, it’s virtually a prerequisite in your beauty regime? Australian cosmeceutical skincare brand Cutisé are certainly aware of the fact, hence they pack most of their beauty product with plenty of the necessary vitamin.
Cutisé realise that Vitamin C ought to be celebrated as skincare’s antioxidant gold standard – a frontline defence against ageing, pigmentation, and environmental damage, come rain or shine. But what if there was something even better?
Enter ‘astaxanthin’ – a next-generation antioxidant sourced from microalgae that works across all layers of the skin to defend against oxidative stress, and to preserve collagen and reduce the visible signs of ageing.
An Australian owned brand, Cutisé is among the first to harness astaxanthin’s full clinical potential, commencing with four key products. First up is their Omnigel Cleanser. Containing calendula oil, finely ground oatmeal, and papaya seed oil, there is goodness here from the get-go. Just a small drop works on dry skin, transforming into an oil and then foaming up when a little water is added. It’s science but in the comfort of your bathroom.

Once the foam is rinsed away with warm oil, it’s recommended to apply Cutisé’s Brightcare Day Serum, a lightweight serum that helps refine tone, enhance hydration and increase radiance. It really is like a toner, moisturiser and protector in one, and is so light you forget you have it on. The key ingredients here are niacinamide and panthenol which work together to smoothen and brighten the skin. Add to this delicious locally sourced Kakadu plum (also rich in Vitamin C) and you’re positively glowing.
I always like to take care of the under-eye area, and the third product in this must-have suite is Cutisé’s Complift Eye Gel which is easily smoothed on via its convex-tipped tube. I’m hooked on this pocket-sized product and bring it out a few times a day for an instant ‘eye lift’. Again, Vitamin C is featured as a key ingredient, along with brightness-inducing caffeine. Of course there is astaxanthin in the eye gel, too, which helps defend against oxidative stress and pollution.

At night, I like to end with the Assence Night Cream, designed to nourish, firm, and visibly smooth the skin while you sleep. Powered by hydroxypinacolone retinoate (HPR) – a gentle and effective form of vitamin A – this magical product helps supports cell renewal and collagen production without irritation.
In sum, I’ve found all four Cutisé products easy to use and very effective in keeping skin looking light and feeling fresh. Five out of five, then.
